Metropolitan Houston Chapter

Chevron Retirees Association

Current Winner

It is our distinct pleasure to introduce Adam Buchsbaum as our 2023 scholarship recipient.
Adam, accompanied by his parents, Billy and Laurie, was presented with the BIG check for
$2000 at our July 17th meeting by chapter president Brian Batiste.

Adam is a graduate of Xavier Academy in Houston and is headed to Yale to work on his chosen
field in Religious Studies. Adam’s desire is to study religion to better understand people and
then make an impact on the world as a professor, teaching and fostering the goal of mutual
understanding and appreciation of our all being neighbors, worldwide.

We congratulations Adam!

He was nominated by his grandmother and HMC member, Annette Buchsbaum.

Thank you go our other members submitting nominations in our 2023 candidate pool:
Steve Seiler, Ed Crawford, Edward Gerstbrein, Centha Davis and David Stern. All the young
people submitting applications were strong performers and highly qualified individuals. We
have a lot to be thankful for with the 2023 graduates!
